Achievements honoured at Valedictory



The Valedictory 2014 award winners with members of the Senior Management Team from the University of Chester.

 

The excellent academic and community achievements of students from the University of Chester were celebrated at this year’s Valedictory ceremony.
Held at St Oswald and Thomas of Canterbury Church in Chester, the annual University service and prize-giving saw several students recognised for their outstanding accomplishments academically, while others were recognised for their admirable voluntary work, sporting success, contributions to the community and University life. The address at this year’s event was given by Chris Allen BEM, Member of University Council.
 
Anthony Parker, the University’s Academic Secretary, said: “At Valedictory we celebrate and recognise the contributions our students make to every aspect of life, from academic achievements through to sporting prowess and community involvement.”
 
Becky Maitland-Titterton, Volunteer Co-ordinator at the University, said: “Valedictory is always a very special time where we celebrate the accomplishments of our most outstanding volunteers.
 
“We wish all of our winners the very best of luck with their chosen pathways and encourage them to keep on changing the world and people’s lives for the better.”
