Interested in Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths? The come along to this FREE event which will celebrate women in STEM, at the Thornton Science Park on International Women's Day- March 16, at 6pm.

Anne- Marie Imafidon is a woman on a mission, campaigning to get more women into Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM).

Anne-Marie attended universities on both sides of the Atlantic and was awarded her Masters degree in Mathematics and Computer Science by the University of Oxford aged 20.

She is Head Stemette and co-founder of Stemettes - an award winning social enterprise, inspiring the next generation of females into STEM roles via a series of events and opportunities. As part of the initiative, she has also co-founded Outbox Incubator: the world's first tech incubator for teenage girls. She sits on the board of Redfield Asset Management, Urban Development Music Foundation and Inspirational YOU.

She was also named the UK IT Industry & British Computer Society's Young IT Professional of the Year in 2013, Red Magazine's 'Woman to Watch' 2014, won a Points of Light award from the UK Prime Minister in October 2014 and was named the Most Influential Woman in IT in 2015.

The schedule for the event is as follows:

6.00pm - 6.30pm: Tea and Coffee on arrival

6.30pm - 6.35pm - Chairman's Opening Remarks - Garfield Southall, Associate Dean of Faculty of Science and Engineering

6.35pm - Keynote Speaker - Anne- Marie Imafidon

7.35pm - Chairman's Closing Remarks
