Huge congratulations to Barlows UK Ltd for winning the prestigious Employer of the Year category at the annual Cheshire Business Awards that were celebrated on Friday, October 11.

The family business, based in Malpas, was started in 1948 as a small electrical repair shop. The company has steadily grown over the years and now has two main offices offering a full range of electrical services. David Barlow is an alumnus of the University having gained both an MSc and an MBA. In 2015 he was also awarded Master of Arts honorary degree in recognition of his outstanding contribution to local business in the electrical sector with Barlow’s Electrical.
