Alumni have fond memories of their time as
students, and many feel that they would like to give something back. We would
be delighted to welcome all our alumni to return, and either help us with
sketching out details of what it was like here, encouraging others to get
involved, or if they prefer, to donate.
We have two different approaches to our fundraising;
we are open to receiving gifts from alumni and friends at any time, for a
general fund which is administered where need is greatest at the time and we
also run specific campaigns. Our recent campaign has been to install a stained glass
window in the Chapel to commemorate the 175th anniversary.
The 175th anniversary commemorative stained glass window
The windows have been decorated at various dates since the Chapel was built by the students in the 1840s. Each has its own story, whether in memory of a much loved tutor, or in reverence to the Bible.
Members of the University of Chester Alumni Association felt that it would be appropriate to mark the 175th anniversary of the institution by installing a permanent testimony in a north facing window of the Chapel, which can be seen and appreciated from Parkgate Road.
Thanks to the generosity of
alumni, the window was installed and a special service of celebration held in
June 2016. A selection of photos from the event can be seen here.
We will continue fundraising for other projects and for the general benefit of students. If you would like to support our cause, please speak to Fiona Roberts, Alumni and Development Manager on 01244 511078, or email: firstname.lastname@example.org

Leaving a legacy
After you have provided for your family and loved ones, please consider leaving
something to the University of Chester in your Will. This is one of the
simplest and most flexible ways of giving, which enables future generations of
students to benefit from the great educational experience here at Chester.
Thank you for helping us to make an investment for
our current and future students.
You are welcome to call us to talk through your
plans, and we recommend that you discuss this with your Solicitor to ensure
that everything is carried out according to your wishes.
